DEBBIE:
Kathy was extremely diligent and passionate. As a family, we knew Kathy was completely committed to Mom’s every level of comfort and care. Without a doubt, I recommend Kathy for any position that requires a caring, skilled, and dependable healthcare professional.
ROBYNN & BRIAN
We would just like to say, getting to know Kathy through looking after our mother Marilyn has been a wonderful experience. We have found an additional family member in the process. We were literally going through losing Marilyn’s husband (our father) at the same time as Kathy came to us and her compassion and kindness will never be forgotten.
She not only cared for Marilyn 12 hours a day (8am to 8pm) but routinely carried out all forms of housekeeping duties as well as Dr. appointments, hospital visits, meals, showers and anywhere we needed her to help out. Marilyn was always kept clean with her hair and clothes always immaculate and nails manicured. You name it, Kathy did it.
Kathy’s sidekick and Therapy Dog “Rowdy” ( a Standard Poodle) brought a whole new friendship to Marilyn and he was most often found curling up with her in bed. A companion to say the least and he was very protective of her. Kathy brought a wonderful mixture of pragmatic problem solving and emotional generosity as well as years of valuable experiences to help with ideas and resources we may have overlooked otherwise.
Marilyn loved poetry, 2 poems especially, and with her dementia would recite or read them over and over and Kathy would respond as if hearing them for the first time. Kathy bought a book of poems for Marilyn and they spent so many hours reading both old and new poems. Her patience was endless.
As we sat with Marilyn during the last week of her life in the hospital, she would often talk of Kathy and Rowdy which was pretty amazing as her short term memory was 99.9% gone, but somehow miraculously fit them into that .1%. That’s the kind of impression Kathy leaves on both clients and their family. Kathy truly loved Marilyn and we know Marilyn loved her and Rowdy right back. I will miss our late night texts where we would bounce around ideas concerning Marilyn and sometimes just chatting and solving the world’s problems as the friends we had become.
We would like to express our respect and appreciation to an outstanding caregiver who went far beyond her job to be most dedicated individual to both us and Marilyn and to whom we were so fortunate to become friends/family with.
Congratulations on your new business venture, it will be a huge success as you have been put on this earth to do exactly what you do best.
Thank you Kathy and Rowdy!
